The 3-d International conference "EU-Russia S&T cooperation. Related support instruments and future opportunities" was held in Saint - Petersburg on October 7-8, 2016.
The main objective of the event was to present the European and Russian instruments supporting R&D&I, focusing on the three interrelated priorities – European Research Council (ERC), Research infrastructures and Marie Skłodowska - Curie Actions.

SCOPE
Cooperation in S&T&I is a fundamental pillar in overall EU-Russia relationship. A successful and mutually beneficial cooperation is realised at the level of the European Union - Russia relationship and through bilateral and multilateral actions between Russia and individual EU Member States or Associated countries.
The objective of the Conference is to discuss the present status of EU-Russia relations in S&T&I cooperation: trends, challenges and opportunities. The major focus is on describing the existing European and Russian funding instruments implemented at different levels and their level of coordination and synergy, sharing the experience of successful bilateral cooperation with Germany and France.
The conference will bring together European and Russian experts to discuss the ways of further progress in cooperation through improving the existing and developing new instruments of cooperation and deepening their complementarity and coordination.
The previous editions were held in St. Petersburg in 2011 and 2012.
